I recently had the pleasure to undertake a Healthy Home Audit for Lucia and her family.
Lucia has a passion for healthy living and had already been focused on achieving a healthy home since they had moved in over a year ago. As an engineer who is studying nutrition and promotes and leads a healthy, active lifestyle, she understands that what we fuel our bodies with affects our health.
Her motivations for the Healthy Home Audit were to see how she was going with her home environment and to see if a few issues she raised with me were related to her home. She felt a few things had been ‘different’ whilst living in this home. As every home and family situation is quite personal and different, its important to check into your unique situation and find out which areas need more attention and focus to improve.
In Lucia’s case, we identified a few items in the home and general housekeeping practices. Some items were remedied on the day, including some geopathic stressors found running through their beds that were affecting their sleep and health. Others were included in the list of recommendations for her to follow up on as time and budget allowed.
I also recommended aspects to improve the Feng Shui of her home, without undertaking a full Feng Shui consultation which she found interesting and helpful. Colour can impact our lives in many ways that we may not realise and this is also considered in the individual situations raised during the home audits. Colour can also be used to enhance your life and health when you implement the deeper psychological uses that the energy of a colour has and create better balance and harmony in your life and home.
Lucia raised that she enjoyed her Healthy Home Audit and decided to help raise awareness on this area by sharing her experience on her health blog here.
It is wonderful to be able to help people instantly improve their home, life and health and sleep through using a combination of architecture, feng shui, healthy home and low-tox living principles.
Small steps do create big changes. As Lucia understood, it is so important to review your home environment and know where you are at presently to be able to more forward confidently. There is no ‘perfect’ time and your health is too valuable to not prioritise.
It is not enough to just eat well or exercise and then come home to an unhealthy home and/or working environment.
Our modern living and working environments have changed dramatically in recent decades. It is so important that you are aware and educate yourself in creating safer and more healthier environments.
